Frigate, an On-Demand Cloud manufacturing marketplace platform has raised $175K in pre-Seed funding round from strategic investors.
Investors include many names like Srinath Ramakkrushnan (Founder of Zetwerk), Abhishek Raj Pandey (Head of Sourcing and Procurement, Mamaearth), Vijay Pravin Maharajan (Bitscrunch), Prabhu Sengodan (SPK groups), Sundararaman Ramasamy (Founder of Wilcosource US), Vel Kanniappan (Angel Investor), Founders of M2P Fintech, Mohan and Jaikumar of Ippopay, and other angel investors from US, Japan, Germany, and Singapore.
The startup plans to use the funds to further strengthen the company’s technology stack.
The company is developing an AI-enabled platform by identifying the topology of the design and sending the right machines available in its platform to manufacture the same by connecting the machines through IIoT.
The startup is planning to set up offices in Chennai and Bengaluru to increase the headcount to 100+ within the next financial year.
Tamilnadu-based Frigate was founded in 2021 by Tamizh Inian, It is an on-demand cloud manufacturing marketplace platform that provides quick, risk free and cost effective fabrication, 3D printing and CNC machining services to OEMs, SMEs and Startups.
“We started as a prototyping company, and have pivoted at the right time as our customer wants their designs to be manufactured as well. We would like to acquire 200 more customers and be a $100M company in the next three years”, said, Tamizh Inian, Founder & CEO of Frigate.

The startup has inducted 150 SMEs on its platform for manufacturing of metal and plastic parts from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

The company has already exported parts to Singapore and Spain and wants India to become a manufacturing hub for the world.
