The cleantech firm Bambrew has secured a series A round of debt and equity funding of Rs 60 crore, or around $7 million, headed by Blume Ventures.
Participating in the round were Blue Ashva Capital, Mumbai Angels, Indus Capital, and angel investors RK Narayan, Mandeep Manocha, and Sreevathsa Prabhakar.
Vaibhav Anant, Founder of Bambrew, in a statement said “I am proud to share that so far, we have saved more than 60,000 tons of single-use plastic and more than 125,000 tons of CO2 emissions by creating revolutionising materials, which are both functional and cost-efficient to plastic.”

The Central Pollution Control Board and the Indian government have recognised the company's products, which the company states may be composted in 130 days. Blue Ashva Capital and Supack Industries led a $2.35 million pre-Series A financing that Bambrew raised in January 2022.
Arpit Agarwal, partner at Blume, commented, “We are excited to lead an investment into another innovative company such as Bambrew. Similar to how the FAME II subsidies provided tailwinds for the rise of EVs, we envision that the EPR regulations in India will lead to the rise of circular economy companies.”
