[Funding News] ClayCo Cosmetics Raises $2 Mn Funding from Unilever Ventures

In its Series A fundraising round, ClayCo Cosmetics, a skincare firm based in Mumbai and established in March 2024, successfully secured $2 million (about INR 16 crore) from Unilever Ventures.

The money will go toward increasing the company’s range of products, improving branding and marketing initiatives, promoting hiring, and meeting working capital requirements.

The brand ClayCo is known for bringing traditional beauty routines from all over the world into a one platform. Products such as the Rice and Sake Sleep Mask, Sake Glass Glow Essence, and Azuki Beans & Koji Rice Foaming Cleanser are part of the brand’s flagship line, Rituals of Japan.

Niharika Jhunjhunwala, the founder of the company, expressed delight about the cooperation with Unilever Ventures, pointing to their knowledge of the cosmetics sector as a major factor in the company’s potential for growth.
