BPCL Partners With Bounce Infinity

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 company and a 'Maharatna', has partnered with Bounce Infinity to enhance the extensive battery switching infrastructure of Bounce Infinity.

This partnership will capitalize on BPCL's extensive network to convert specific fuel stations into EV sales centers. According to the website of BPCL, the company operates more than 14,802 petroleum stations throughout the nation.

The stores will be administered by either Bounce Infinity or BPCL's dealer network. Each outlet will have charging stations for customers to charge their vehicles on-site.

Bounce Infinity will assist BPCL's on-ground vendors by offering marketing support, managing inventory, and providing training. The state petrol corporation also intends to provide electric vehicle charging stations at approximately 7,000 petrol stations within the next five years.

This development is on the brink of causing Bounce to experience a 13% decrease in net loss to INR 197 Cr in the fiscal year 2022-23 (FY23) from INR 243.3 Cr in the previous year, as a result of the strong sales of its electric vehicles (EVs).

Pardeep Goyal, BPCL business head for retail, said: “Partnering with Bounce Infinity is an integral part of our strategy to transform our fuel stations into versatile energy hubs that cater to the evolving needs of our customers and contribute to environmental sustainability,”
