[Funding News] Boson Whitewater and Nutrition Brand TruNativ Each Secures Rs 10 Cr in equity Funding from Zerodha venture Firm Rainmatter

Rainmatter, an early-stage venture firm sponsored by zerodha, has provided Rs 10 crore in equity funding to Boson Whitewater, a water recycling startup, and TruNativ, a nutrition-focused brand.

The purification of excess sewerage treatment plant (STP) water into potable water by Boson Whitewater can assist in resolving water scarcity issues in large cities such as Bengaluru.

TruNativ is a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand that distributes nutritional products, including Everyday Protein, Everyday Fibre, and Everyday Sweetener, through its website and e-commerce channels.

Rainmatter, an investment firm that focuses on startups in the fields of fintech, renewable energy, climate technology, and health technology, has invested Rs 30 crore in a variety of companies. These include follow-on rounds in the health startup Devil's Circuit, the climate-focused startup GreenWorms, and the fintech startup Actlogica.

Rainmatter was also involved in the $6.5-million funding round that GalaxEye, a space tech startup, recently completed. Throughout the initial and subsequent rounds, the fund has invested Rs 5 crore in this startup.

Dinesh Pai, head of Rainmatter, said: “We believe that geospatial data has a role to play in solving problems around, say, early warning for climate-related disasters and erratic weather patterns. GalaxEye is looking to solve that problem apart from several other use cases in defense and agriculture,”
