Blacklight Studio Works, has secured an unknown sum of capital in a fundraising round headed by Udyat Ventures. Additional investors in the round included Polygon Ventures, Dexter Ventures, and former CEO of Nazara Technologies, Manish Agrawal.

With the funds, BlackLight intends to hire people, enter new markets, and make investments in AI and ML to personalise gameplay and improve player experience, as reported by VCCircle.

“Through the utilisation of AI and ML in gaming, we are crafting an unparalleled gaming experience,” said BlackLight’s co-founder Anupam Srivastava.

In 2011, Anupam Srivastava and Shruti Sarraf co-founded Noida-based BlackLight. Ludo Superstar, a well-known computer game, was made by the business.

“From the very start, our aim has been to establish a global brand for classic games. The global stage holds potential as billions of smartphone users is each a potential gamer,” said Saraf.

“Anupam and Shruti have built Blacklight grounds up and we are looking forward to building an international gaming studio brand from India,” said Rahul Gupta, managing partner at Udyat Ventures.

About Blacklight Studio Works

Blacklight Studio Works creates lighthearted smartphone games. More than 200 million copies of its main game, Ludo SuperStar, have been downloaded. CallBreak and Carron SuperStar are two more games created by Backlight that, according to the firm, are among the top 100 titles on the Play Store in India.
