Data collaboration software provider Atlan has raised around $50 million so far in its Series B round from Salesforce Ventures and Sequoia Capital India & among others .

Data democratisation startup Atlan had raised $16 mn in its Series A round in May 2021.

Founded in 2018 by Prukalpa Sankar and Varun Banka, Atlan is a modern data collaboration workspace (like Github for engineering or Figma for design). By acting as a virtual hub for data assets ranging from tables and dashboards to models & code.

Atlan enables teams to create a single source of truth for all their data assets, and collaborate across the modern data stack through deep integrations with tools like Slack, BI tools, data science tools and more. The platform also has deep integrations with tools like Slack, data warehouses.

Salesforce venture has invested $20 mn, the company’s regulatory filings in Singapore shows. Sequoia & Insight Partners have invested $13 million each while the rest fund was pumped in by WaterBridge Venture.

Atlan was battle tested through 100+ data projects that affected the lives of 1 billion citizens bringing them better access to energy, healthcare & education. From satellite data to count every building in the emerging world, to merging 600+ unstructured data sources.
