Jio Platforms’ arm Asteria Aerospace, a drone manufacturer and allied solutions provider company has launched its end-to-end drone operations platform called SkyDeck.

SkyDeck is a cloud-based software platform that provides ‘DaaS’ solutions for multiple industry verticals such as agriculture, surveying, industrial inspection, monitoring, and security.

SkyDeck provides an integrated dashboard and services for drone fleet management, scheduling and executing drone flights, data processing, and visualization and AI-based analysis of aerial data captured using drones. In addition, it ensures operational transparency, improves collaboration between stakeholders, and provides secure and centralized management to enhance drone programs across multiple applications.

Bengaluru-based Asteria Aerospace founded in 2011, itis a robotics and artificial intelligence company that develops drone-based solutions to provide actionable intelligence from aerial data.

“With the launch of SkyDeck, we are addressing the need of the hour with an integrated drone hardware, software, and operations solution. SkyDeck simplifies the use of drones to generate aerial data and turns that digital data into business insights to power drone applications at scale,” said Neel Mehta, Co-founder & Director of Asteria Aerospace.

Mehta also said that the recent liberalization by the Center to promote drone operations and DAAS has led to an increase in the demand for drones in the industry sectors.

The SkyDeck is also useful for the agricultural sector. It provides data and insights that can be used to accurately measure crop traits, assess crop health, and optimize agricultural inputs.

SkyDeck uses drone-based aerial data to create accurate site surveys for the construction and mining industries to monitor progress and maintain accurate inventory records.

SkyDeck is very useful for critical infrastructure sectors such as oil and gas, telecommunications, and electricity and utilities. It harnesses the power of drones to digitize and inspect assets for preventive maintenance, identify hazards, and record changes.
