Partha Sinha was appointed as the new Chairman of the Advertising Standards Council of India (Asci) for the 2024-25 fiscal year. Bennett Coleman & Company Limited is led by Sinha, who serves as the company’s President and Chief Brand Officer.
Saugata Gupta, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Marico Limited, will be succeeded by Sinha, who has collaborated with organizations such as Ogilvy, Publicis, BBH, McCann, and Citibank.
At present, the Council comprises approximately 350 members. Sinha expressed his desire to increase the value to a minimum of four digits.

Asci is a voluntary, self-regulatory organization that serves the advertising industry in India. It is committed to the promotion of equitable advertising and guarantees that it adheres to its Code for Self-Regulation.
Sinha also stated that he would prioritize the adoption of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in advertising, as well as thought leadership.
Partha Sinha, said: “Deploying technology and AI to monitor errant advertising as well as putting our might behind preventive measures will be our focus in the days to come,”
