Gurgaon-based Krishi Network, agri-tech startup has acquired Rocket Skills, an ed-tech platform in a undisclosed amount.
With this acquisition, farmers looking to start a business with small investment will get access to advanced online mentorship and organized online courses.
Rocket skills was founded in 2020 by Mohit Jain and Vibhu Bahuguna, It is an ed-tech platform that strives to create an incredibly accessible and affordable experience for anyone looking to start a business with a small investment through high quality online mentorship and structured online courses.
The company said the Rocket Skills technology combined with the Krishi Networks will empower their network of farmers through new business capabilities. This will make it easier for farmers to access information and help them earn more profit from their land.
“Indian farmers, being our target audience, face the problem of awareness about how to grow the crop efficiently, how to get the most out of it and lack of training. After acquiring Rocket Skills, we will offer training to farmers based on their interest in farming sectors and helping those who want to start their own business. This acquisition will also help us achieve the revenue target to boost our operations further and expand our ground presence with farmers”, said, Ashish Mishra, Co-Founder, Krishi Network.
Krishi Networks was founded in 2018 by Ashish Mishra, Its platform instantly connects Indian farmers with experts, traders, produce buyers and other stakeholders in the agricultural supply-chain.
More than 40 lakh farmers are already on its platform and it aims to boost their operations and expand their on-ground presence with farmers.
The company said that we will also rebrand Rocket skills as Krishi Safal (offering on-demand training courses) and launch another unit called Krishi Plus – a complete offline subscription plan for 3 months.
