Sportswear platform Agilitas Sports, founded by former Puma India CEO Abhishek Ganguly, has secured a fresh round of funding of Rs 100 crore from Nexus Venture Partners, a venture capital firm.
Suvir Sujan, MD of Nexus Venture Partners, will become an advisor on the Agilitas board as a result of the investment.

“We are looking to close a few deals on the consumer brand side. With these plans in the pipeline, we decided to raise the latest round from Nexus,” Abhishek Ganguly said.
The Agilitas funding from Nexus highlights the increasing tendency of venture capital firms seeking to support industrial and retail businesses that use technology as an extra layer.

“Coupled with the collective operating experience of the cofounders in the Indian sports footwear market, we believe that (Agilitas is) … a pathbreaking sports company that is poised for global impact,” said Suvir Sujan, MD, Nexus Venture Partners.
