Accenture, a multinational technology corporation, has purchased Excelmax Technologies, a semiconductor design services company based in Bengaluru, India. The financial details of the acquisition have not been released.
Excelmax offers tailored silicon solutions for a range of industries, including consumer products, data centers, artificial intelligence (AI), computing platforms, automotive, telecommunications, and high-tech sectors. These solutions facilitate the deployment of edge AI and cater to the specific needs of our clients.
Accenture reports that the semiconductor sector is currently witnessing a significant increase in demand for silicon design engineering. This rise is mostly attributed to the growing number of data centers and the rising adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and edge computing. This trend is further accelerated by the increasing consumer demand for electronics, which is leading to additional investments in the field of chip design.

Acquiring Excelmax will result in around 450 employees with specialized knowledge in areas such as emulation, automotive, physical design, analog, logic design, and verification being part of Accenture.
