Two of Lightspeed Venture Partners' partners, Vaibhav Agrawal and Abhishek Nag, have left the company. Lightspeed Venture Partners has supported startups including Oyo, Udaan, Sharechat, and Pocket FM.
Agrawal, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur, is planning to start his own venture capital business, while Nag has taken a leadership role in early-stage investments at Mumbai-based 360 One, formerly known as IIFL Wealth & Asset Management, as reported by The Economic Times.
It has lately spearheaded significant fundraising rounds, including the $103 million audio platform Pocket FM raised in March and the $41 million investment in the AI startup Sarvam AI. Lightspeed secured $500 million in July 2022 for its fourth fund, which is primarily dedicated to investments in Southeast Asia and India.
Currently, Lightspeed's international teams oversee over $18 billion in assets on a worldwide scale, working with advisors and investment experts throughout Silicon Valley, India, China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Israel.
Lightspeed has a well-established and extensive presence in India, with offices and consulting teams situated in Singapore, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.
