Google has chosen 20 Indian startups to participate in the inaugural round of its 'Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First' programme.

The accelerator programme, which was announced in April of this year and is open to seed to Series A firms, had over 1,030 applications. The project will provide a duration of three months of support without requiring any ownership stake to 20 firms in their early stages that utilise artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud technology as fundamental components of their business operations.

The scheme is aimed at entrepreneurs that prioritise artificial intelligence and operate in many industries, including gaming, manufacturing, healthcare, education, data analytics, and cybersecurity.

The chosen entrepreneurs will be provided with instruction on constructing AI solutions that prioritise the needs of humans and adhere to ethical standards. Additionally, they will be given the opportunity to connect with experienced mentors from Google, gain credits for utilising advanced technology, and access cutting-edge AI tools.
