During its tenth class, 15 firms received $2.3 million in investments from Mumbai-based venture capital firm 100X.VC.

The fund has invested in these firms through the use of iSAFE (India Simple Agreement for Future Equity) notes. In 2019, the VC firm began utilizing iSAFE notes.

“We are thrilled to announce our newest cohort, Class 10, consisting of 15 innovative startups. With these additions, we have now invested in 142 early-stage startups spanning diverse sectors. We firmly believe that India’s early-stage startup landscape has many game-changers, and the startups of Class 10 epitomize these promising opportunities,” said Ninad Karpe, Founder & Partner of 100X.VC.

Capital firm 100X.VC claims to be the first to use iSAFE notes for early-stage startup investments. According to a release, the venture capital firm made an investment Rs 1.25 crore in each startup. Today’s in-person VC Pitch Day in Mumbai saw the announcement of the new group of portfolio businesses. More than 400 investors, including businesses, family offices, venture capital firms, and high net worth individuals, joined the event.

The venture capital fund invests in businesses from a variety of industries even before the class officially starts, following a class-based investment approach. This year, for its tenth class, 100X.VC chose and funded these fifteen startups after first shortlisting 450 firms from a pool of over 2,000 startups. Nine separate cities—Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Gurgaon—are home to these portfolio enterprises.

HYRGPT, JoySpoon, MiClient, Offside, Sprentzo, THAP, Wastefull Insights, Arthum, Bepure, Buckmint, Cutbox, Dailybee, Datavio, Flabs, and Hatchfast are the 15 selected startups.

Since its founding in July 2019, 100X.VC has made investments in 142 early-stage firms, with Class 10 already complete.
